This is a
Gillette
travel safety razor set in a zippered brown leather case with has an
airplane printed on one side. These sets were
made from approximately
1946 to 1949
by
Grimes of London/New York. They were printed with company names and offered as promotional items.
The set's interior is marked, "The Cleveland Flux Co., Famous Cornell Foundry Fluxes, Cleveland 13, Ohio."
The set includes
a travel-size,
3-piece
gold Gillette
safety razor clearly etched with the Gillette trademark on the cap.
The razor
is in very good condition
with no wear or plating loss on the etched cap. The se
t also includes a tiny shaving brush that twists up and down inside a gold case, a matching miniature shaving stick and a small bottle for aftershave, along with two unopened Gillette Blue blades.
The leather case is in very good condition. The brush works, but needs a little help getting up and down inside the tube, and the shaving stick is loose inside the tube. The set comes with the lower half of the original box.
Insurance is required on all shipments and will be charged with a handling fee and included in the shipping quote. Handling fee reflects Ebay’s change in policy where they now charge the seller a 10% commission on the shipping costs. Overseas customs forms will be marked with the original price and insured at that value. No exceptions
